| Tl* the contact owns a 2004 acura 3.2tl. the contact stated that the dashboard became cracked where the air bag was positioned. the contact stated that the air bag could deploy at anytime without crashing. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was informed that the dashboard would need replacing. the manufacturer offered to cover seventy-five percent of the repair cost but the contact declined. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 110,000. | |||

| Tl. the contact owns a 2004 acura tl. the contact stated the dash board has cracked where the air bag is positioned. the contact stated the air bag can deploy at anytime without crashing the vehicle. the contact notice online other owners with this year make and model experiencing the same issue but no reports show the air bag deploying. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer stated the dash board needs to be replaced. the manufacturer offer to cover 75 percent of the cost but the contact stated the manufacturer should be responsible for the entire cost of the repair. the failure mileage was 110,000. jo | |||

| Recently my 2004 acura tl dash started cracking spontaneously over the driver side instrument panel. i have read of other complaints of cracks over the passenger air bag as well, documented at http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=730775. i feel that this is a dangerous safety hazard and is a defect of acura 2004 tl. acura has refused to cover repair because vehicle is out of warranty and because previous owner lived in fl. *tr | |||

| Dash started to crack around the airbag housing. took the car to the dealership they stated it was due to the sun and it was not covered under warranty. i expressed my concerns that it would effect the deployment of the airbag, acura service stated it would not effect the airbag. the dash is now cracked on both sides of the airbag housing and continues all the way back towards the windshield. *jb | |||
