Defect SummaryVehicle description: passenger vehicles. certain vehicles were manufactured with ball joints that can prematurely wear out and, in the worse case, the ball joint would separate causing the front suspension to collapse.
Consequence SummaryThis condition would result in vehicle deceleration and a sudden loss of power. also steering controllability would be reduced.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the front suspension lower ball joints.

SUSPENSION
 There was about two inches of play within the steering wheel due to the steering column coupling not connecting to the steering wheel. dealer replaced some parts within the steering coupling. when driving at any speed, vehicle will go from lane to lane. also, there are gas fumes within the vehicle/ transmission had to be replaced, and the dash had to be replaced due to some type of black spots on the dashboard. *ak

 When driving on flat surface at approximately 40mph, 1500rpms the vehicle will jerk and pull for approx. 30 seconds or untill the speed is changed. the dealership thinks that the computer is the problem, which will in some cases affect the transmission. *ak
