 My battery failed for the second time in a couple of months and required a jump in order for the car to start. i took it to an acura dealership where they determined that the handsfree link system was electrically faulty and was staying on continuously, whether the car was running or not. hence, there was a constant draw on the battery. to (hopefully) resolve the problem, i had the dealership replace the battery and the handsfree link system. *tr

 Tl* the contact owns a 2007 acura tl. the contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle began to decelerate. the contact stopped the vehicle and was able to restart the engine. the contact noticed that the tire pressure warning light and check engine light illuminated on the instrument panel. the failure continued intermittently. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostics, where the mechanic stated that the air intake hose corroded and needed to be replaced. the mechanic also stated that there was an electronic failure which caused the warning lights to illuminate. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 71,000. sm.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 acura tl. while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle stopped and the key would not release from the ignition. also, the vehicle doors would not unlock. the engine restarted after several attempts and stalled. all the instrument panel warning lights illuminated. the vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer, but they could not determine the cause of the failure. the technician stated that the computer was wet from an unknown substance and the failure could possibly recur. currently, the vehicle is undergoing diagnostic testing and the defective computer is being replaced. the contact was concerned of the safety risk involved. the failure and current mileages were 14,000.
