POWER TRAIN - MANUAL TRANSMISSION

Instaled 2004 roadmax transmision 6 speed right side drive in harley type bike. after 1500 miles while traveling 70-75 mph trasnsmission makes noise for less than one second then locks up rear wheel, causing bike to skid to stop off roadway. lucky no one was following. took bike back to my shop and upon inspecting transmission i found snap ring holding mainshaft in place was not properly machined. this lets shaft move and allows transmission to go into 2 gears at once. oadmax replaced transmission. i know they are aware there is a problem with this part and are aware of the seriousness of problem. merican ironhorse sell a production bike with this transmission and has had failures according to a couple of their dealers.someone needs to do something to get these fixed before there are serious injuries or death. oadmax factory representative is no longer with this korean manufacture. a friend tells me factory does not have to follow your guidlines for recall due to not being american factory? would like to see this investigated and fixed. *ak
