| Tl*the contact owns a 2009 lifan lf200 motorcycle. while driving at approximate speeds of 7-10 mph, the vehicle loss power. the rear tire partially locked and the driver lost control of the vehicle. he was thrown from the vehicle; however, he did not suffer any injuries. the manufacturer stated that the vehicle potentially loss control due to failure of the ignition switch. the manufacturer offered to take liability for the defective ignition switch. the contact stated that the failure of the ignition switch was due to poor design. he also stated that the copper wiring of the ignition switch fractured since it was welded in the rear of the ignition switch. to date, there were no repairs made to the vehicle. the current and failure mileages were 578. updated 05/12/10 *bf | |||
