| 2001 audi tt, air bag light stays on. purchased the car new in 2001, light came on at 15k miles, had cluster replaced took care of problem for a week, brought back to dealer had fixed again. lasted about 2 weeks. at 30 k miles brought car back to dealer for recall of cluster, problem fixed for about 500 miles. the car now has 31k miles light is still on. i searched the internet and this is a major problem with most early audi tt from 2000 to 2004 and some after. no one has mentioned a valid soultion only that they keep bringing the car back to the dealer, spending a lot of money and only having a short term fix. this is a major safety issue and audi should take responsibility to resolve. drivers don't know if the airbags will work properly during a crash. | |||
