| Air bag indicator light continuously stays on. an authorized audi service center diagnostic indicated air bag modular malfunction resulting in the inability for all air bags to properly function and seat belt tensioner to be inactive. in addition, the diagnostic indicated other safety components not available to this make and model as malfunctioning. air bag modular is required to be replaced to ensure the safety of the vehicle and passengers. without replacement of air bag modular, the air bag(s) will not deploy and the seat belt tensioner will not work presenting the possibility of serious injuries to the driver and/or passenger. *nm | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2001 audi tt quattro. while driving between 25-30 mph, the contact received four citations on march 19, 2008. the citations stated that she was driving 45 mph in a 35 mph zone and 51 mph in a 35 mph zone. the citations were received within ten minutes of one another. the contact also noticed that the fuel gauge indicator displayed 1/4 tank; however, the vehicle was out of fuel a few miles later. she received a class action letter indicating that the speedometer and fuel gauge were not operating normally and could display inaccurate readings. the dealer and manufacturer stated that the class action suit does not apply to the vehicle since it is beyond the seven year period. the approximate failure mileage was 5,000 and approximate current mileage was 100,000. updated 6/2/08 *cn updated 05/30/08 | |||

| I have a 2001 audi tt. i have had many problems with the gauges not working. i have taken it in many times and i am not getting anywhere. my local dealer told me that they do not know of any problems with the gauges that is wide spread. i am a member of many audi owners groups and everyone i know has had to replace the gauges. they are between $600-$900 and i think that if this many people (at least 100) have this problem then it has to be a factory defect of some kind. *nm | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2001 audi tt quattro. while pulling into the driveway at 5 mph, the contact heard a noise coming from the rear passenger side tire. she noticed that the tire was not aligned with the other three tires. the vehicle was towed to the dealer and they discovered that the rear control arm bolt was corroded and failed, along with the rear suspension coil. the manufacturer stated that her vin was not included in nhtsa campaign id number 01v325000 (suspension:rear). the vehicle is currently being repaired at the cost of $1,500. the failure mileage was 71,000 and current mileage was 72,000. | |||

| I have a 2001 audi tt. i bought it threw a dealership out of state online. went and pick it up and was fine but a couple of weeks went by and started having problems with instrument panel no gas gauge speedometer temperture gauge or dash lights. they will go out just riding up the road and does it more since its colder weather so i started looking in to this matter and this is a major problem with audi and i think they should make this right and plus its a major saftey issue to me thank you for your assistance in this matter. | |||
