Tl-the contact owns a 2003 bigfoot e-450(na) ford chassey and motor. the contact stated that while driving 75 mph up a steep hill and in cruise control. the vehicle then downshifted, which caused the throttle to become stuck and accelerated to higher speeds in and out of traffic. after trying to depress the brakes to disengage the cruise control, which didn't work. he then turned the ignition off and coasted to the side of the road. the vehicle was then towed to a dealer and they advised him that they would unlock the cruise control servo. the vehicle was repaired, by the cruise control being disconnected upon the owners request. the manufacturer was then contacted and they offered no assistance. the failure mileage was approximately 32,000. tb |
