2004 bluebird chassis with a 2007 cat engine, motor coach bus. consumer would like to know the opinion of nhtsa and or the regulation (s) pertaining to these issues *tgw the consumer stated the four way hazard lights should not be connected to the key. when the four way hazard lights were turned on, the key could be shut off and taken out of the ignition while the bus continued to run. the consumer stated it showed a direct connection between the four way hazard lights and the key switch. the exhaust was too close to flammable objects. the wood floorboards at the back of the bus, began to burn and the bus had to be evacuated. the bus would not shut off with the key, so it was shut off in the back. the air operated door flew open while driving, so a dead bolt had to be used to keep it closed. at times, the odometer would reset itself. the interior lights did not work at times, the ball joints needed to be replaced, the rubber caps were rusted. when the brake was applied on several occasions, the bus would not stop or just lock up completely. a low air buzzer went off for the air system.
