Defect SummaryOn certain 45' motor homes, an incorrect bussbar cable connector was installed in the main power distribution box. under high load conditions, arcing and shorting could occur which can destroy the bussbar assembly and cause loss of power to the engine.
Consequence SummarySudden engine shut-down and loss of the ability to move the vehicle out of the roadway could result in a crash.
Corrective SummaryDealers replaced the incorrect 150 amp bussbar cable connector with a 600 amp bussbar cable connector. all vehicles have been repaired.

 Owners whose vehicles havebeen remedied as prescribed by blue bird campaign 07v-586 have expressed dissatisfaction with the following issues: (1) remedied vehicles have diminished cargo capacity; (2) redeployed placement of generator in remedied vehiclesis inadequately ventilated; (3) vehicle weight (which exceeds the manufacturer's specifications); front axle being used in excess of its rating; incorrect weight specification; overweight; (4) the blue bird recommended 130 psi inflation pressure in front tires (is not recommended by michelin); (5) impractical weight and passenger restrictions; traveling with
