The passenger airbag off warning lamp lights up with a passenger in the front seat. this has been occurring intermitently since i bought the new car. after learning there had been a recall for airbag failure, i asked the dealer to check into this problem. the dealer said there wasn't a recall for my car and we would have to pay to have it checked.

Occupancy sensor / front passenger airbag system. the passenger airbag off warning lamp lights up with a passenger in the front seat. this is a certified pre-owned car purchased late january 2009. this occurs about 2-3 times per month. sept 2009, after months of complaining and having the dealer tell me they can not duplicate the problem the replaced the sensor mat in the seat. this was covered in ea08-001 and should have been done before the car was offered for sale. later that same month the warning light went off again. *tr
