My motorcycle will start and run for a while but will randomly shut off when the engine gets down to idle. this problem is not persistent and seems to happen one day, be fine for a few days, and then arise again. when the bike is running and i 'm up at speed it runs flawlessly, but every now and then the bike doesn't want to idle and it will die when i come to a stop or if i keep in the clutch too long and the rpm drops too low. there have been some instances where i've come to a stop, needed to go abruptly, and wasn't able to because my bike had just died, creating a potentially hazardous situation for me since i was not able to get out of the way of danger. | |||

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 bmw g650 gs us motorcycle. the contact stated when driving at various speeds, the vehicle would stall without warning. once the vehicle was restarted, it would not idle. the dealer advised that the failure was due to ethanol in the fuel system and there were no recalls for the failure. there were no repairs made to the vehicle. the contact confirmed that the vehicle has stalled at least 40 times. the failure mileage was 200 and the current mileage was 5300. | |||
