Tl*the contact owns 2004 bmw k1200lt motorcycle. the motorcycle was in a parked position when the contact observed an excessive amount of fuel leaking. the motorcycle was towed to an independent mechanic for inspection. the technician stated the failure was contributed to the fuel line. the original fuel line was made of plastic and it was replaced with a steel line. in addition, the throttle cable disengaged from the engine while traveling in traffic. there was an estimated cost of $900.00 for the motorcycle service repair. it has not been repaired . the contact had concerns of the significant safety hazard. the vin was rejected from the system. the failure mileage was 48,000. the failure mileage was 58,000. updated 10/13/09. *lj updated 10/13/09 | |||
