2009 bmw k1300s, engine stalls when clutch is engaged and fully rolling off the throttle. it's normal for the bike to stall 2 to 4 times during a 200 mile ride. engine goes down to idle then stalls without any indication. very dangerous to drive the bike as i've experience engine stalls in heavy traffic conditions and almost got ran over by a vehicle behind me. i reported the problem to the bmw dealership i purchased the bike from with just 200 miles on this new bmw k1300s. dealership has made multiple attempts to fix the problem, ecu resets, software updates etc. but nothing has helped. the bmw dealer tells me that this is a widespread problem and the bmw or north america has thousands of open cases with bmw new k bikes (k1300s, k1300gt). i purchased my bike in april 2009 and am patiently waiting for bmw to get their act together and fix this problem. if they don't do something soon, people are going to get injured driving these motorcycles. i'm considering asking bmw to buy my bike back as i don't feel comfortable driving it with this serious defect. i think there needs to be a full recall on the k bike line to help bmw understand the significance of the safety issues they have caused. *tr

2009 bmw k1300s motorcycle randomly stalls and turn signals fail to operate. this has been reported by many owners and bmw has failed to order a safety recall when i purchased the k1300s, the dealer exchanged it before i took delivery because of equipment failures. *tr

I bought my 2009 bmw k1300s exactly one week ago(july 18, 2009). it has 270 miles on the odometer when it happened. i was in second gear, clutch was pulled in, in preparation for a stop sign. the engine just died, the instrument panel went blank. *tr
