| I was decelerating and downshifted to 1st gear at 4 mph, i pulled the clutch in and coasted to a stop then the engine stalled. i tried to start button, but there was no catching. i pressed the start button and accelerated the rpm's to 4000 then the bike took off abruptly. one thousand feet later, i was coming to a stop at 5 mph and the engine turned off again. a half mile later i was in first gear into a corner at 5 mph then the engine died. there was no starting with the start button, so i popped the clutch and the engine started and i accelerated. as long as i kept the rpm's high there was no stalling, but if i can to a stop, the engine would die. i was almost rear ended five times today!!!! i almost wrecked in the curve when the engine died. *tr | |||

| Bmw 2009 k1300s stalls intermittantly, usually on a down shift. has occured at least 75 times in first 1,956 miles. usually occurs from 2nd to 1st down shift, but has occured in 5th to 4th and 4th to 3rd down shifts. rear wheel locks up if clutch is released. the motorcycle is reasonably quiet and with a full face helmet i have released the clutch not initially realizing the motorcycle shut off. no accidents to date, but a few near misses. it's a dangerous situation. i have notified bmw and was told they are working on the problem. not very comforting when my motorcycle stalled 3 times yesterday (9/7/09). *tr | |||

| I have a new 2009 bmw k1300s motorcycle and it stalls at low speeds and the engine cuts off with no notice. i have almost been killed in intersections when i roll half-way through only to notice my bike is dead. many complaints have been logged in i-bmw.com and k1300s.net websites (hundreds). *tr | |||
