POWER TRAIN - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Almost every time the headlights are changed from high to low beams the lights will shut off compleatly and i will have no headligts at all, i have gone out and purchased a new turnsignal switch and plan to put it in as soon as posible and i will have the old part still. the front drive assembely will grind any time a tire loses traction and spins in either the rain or snow on pavement or off the road in a driveway so my car has been driving in one wheel drive instead of two wheel drive, i have not had the chance to go and buy a new drive axel assembely to correct the problem.
POWER TRAIN - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - TORQUE CONVERTER

2003 buick century has 90,000 miles. transmission shifts hard on acceleration/deceleration. obd ii reports dtc of p0742 - torque converter circuit stuck on. transmission repair shop, and internet search indicate common problem with these type of gm transmissions. estimate to fix $1900 to $2400. if this is a manufacturing defect, shouldn't gm resolve at no or nominal cost to owner of car? *nm
POWER TRAIN - MANUAL TRANSMISSION - LUBRICANT

The 2003 has a number of issues. 1. the lights turn off at random in the dark. this has happened on numerous occasions. 2. the brakes need to be replaced roughly every 8 months. my mechanic said the buick century has brakes that are not adequate for the weight of the car. costly! 3. oil system leaks, complete breakdown. $1200 to replace the system. 4. the dials on the temp control come off. i am trading this pos off before it costs me more money! *tr
