 Dt: the contact owns a 2005 buick lacrosse. he contacted nhtsa last week complaining that while driving and looking in the side mirror there is a narrow chrome strip on the dashboard. when the windows are up one can see a reflection. this is a distraction, and if a motorcycleis right in that reflection one may not be able to see it. *ak

 2005 buick lacrosse the glare from the chrome strip on the dash is blinding the driver. *mr (the glare affected the 1/2 inch chrome strip across the dash and the rectangular strip around the gear selector) this problem would occur when the sun reflects vertically or obliquely through the windows. the glare caused the consumer headaches. the consumer suggested that buick recall this problem and replace the controls. *sc *jb

 The right and left exterior mirrors experience a reflection that is vertically going through them. however, it disappears while driving. also, there is a horizontal chrome strip that goes through the interior mirror which is very distracting. *al the consumer stated that there was a reflection at the top of the front windshield. all reflections were caused by the chrome strip on the dashboard. *tc

 Tl* the contact owns a 2005 buick lacrosse. the contact stated that the driver door would not unlatch and the contact was unable to exit the vehicle. the contact had to exit the vehicle through the passenger door as the failure recurred for approximately six weeks. in addition, the contact stated there was overpowering gasoline fumes in the vehicle. the contact stated that the manufacturer had issued a voluntary recall but the contact did not confirm if the vehicle was included in the recall. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer or mechanic for diagnosis or repairs. the failure mileage was 79,000 and the current mileage was 79,400.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2005 buick lacrosse. while the vehicle was parked the contact was unable to exit the vehicle. he stated his wife had to climb over the console to exit the front passenger door. the drivers side door would not open for her to get out because of a defective door motor. the contact stated the failure was intermittent for six weeks. the contact reference an unknown manufacture recall regarding the fuel tank leaking fumes. he also stated his vehicle was experiencing the failure. the vehicle had not been taken to the dealer for this failures. the vehicle had not been repaired. the failure mileage was 79,000 and the current mileage was 79,400. vwb

 Purchased the car in march of 05, have had it in a total of 24 days for service, on about 10 different occasions. the front doors leaked badly in the rain. they have since been adjusted, had new seals put in, bondo applied at a body shop. then buick replaced both doors with new factory doors. these also leaked. they were adjusted and bondo was applied to the new doors. they required multiple adjustments as well. now the doors feel like they drop a quarter inch when you open them and there is a lot of wind noise. *jb

 Consumer noticed a soft spot located on the vehicle trunk lid. took vehicle to the dealer. the dealer took consumer to inspect several other vehicles which had the same problem. dealer informed the consumer that was the normal characteristic of that vehicle. *ak trunk lid made noise when the consumer touched it. the consumer wants mfg. to check car to be sure it's safe in case of a rear ended crash. *bf *nm
