| My 2000 buick lesabre custom sedan. the drivers and right rear windows suddenly drop open fully without warning due to failure of electric motor of each window cannot power them back up because of a failure of the lift mechanism. this repair costs 400.00 per window and is a known common failure of the 2000 to 2005 models. recently occurred to driver;s window on may 7, during a rainstorm and had to pull over and stop; luckily on low traffic street at time. rear window drop occurs more ofte and each time, i stop and with both hands raise the window and place paper shims to hold the window up. this presents a dangerous situation if it occurs on a busy highway/street as the driver suddenly loses focus temporarily.and is placed in a dangerous position as it is known that crashes occur in mere seconds during highway speeds when drivers take their attention away from driving. this is a common failure on the early 2000=2005 lesabres and buick should be required to correct this common failure. | |||

| I have a 2000 buick lesabre and the rear window regulators were made poorly and the plastic that holds the cable in broke, so far on both back doors. this should be a recall item since so many people have this problem. the dealer wants over 400.00 to repair that would be over 800.00 and they will break again in time due to poor construction. i have a part ordered for one, and will have to repair the other when i can afford it. one broke on the 4th of sept and the other went the next day. after going online i found that this is a big problem for buick owners. i am the 2nd owner and it looks like the left side is newer by the looks of the plastic gear that the cable rolls around in the motor, so this could be the 2nd time it is replaced. *tr | |||

| I am on my 6th window assembly replacement. why would they want to keep putting the same defective parts back into your car? the last one i had to pay for at $400. the other 4 were under warranty, the first at 17,000. now, i am going to not have this one repaired as i cannot afford it. guess when it's 125 degrees in my car in the summer i'll just have to open all the doors to cool it off! can't put the windows down!*ak | |||

| While driving dash lights illuminated intermittently. the air bag light illuminated more than any other light. also, the driver's side back of seat laid automatically on its own. this incident happened while the consumer was driving. upon having a full tank of gas, the meter would read empty. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the consumer was told that there was an electrical problem. *ak there was a noise in the dash, the fuel gauge would jump to empty, the speedometer would go to zero, the headlight would go dim when the weather was rainy, there was a rumble in the left front end, a shimmy when the brakes were applied and when raining, the dash light would go from bright to dim the air bag light was intermittent, the radio would cut out, the driver's seat was inoperative, the transmission would slip into overdrive on slight acceleration, the automatic doors were inoperative, the cruise control was inoperative, there were intermittent loss of heat would start blowing cold air, the oil pressure light would come on while the fuel gauge mileage would not stay on, the electrical remote was inoperative, and there was a leak in the engine. *sc | |||
