The complaint was received via e-mail. i went to goodyear to have my brakes checked when they removed the wheel cap, and the plastic snaps that hold the wheel caps in place fell off. the mechanic called me over and refused to take any more caps off. it was determined that i needed front brakes, and i gave him permission to take the second cap off. one more snap broke off. my car is a 1999 buick park avenue ultra of 42,000 miles. approximately a year ago i had to replace a cap that was missing at a cost of $54.00. these caps are poorly made and cannot withstand the process of having tires rotated, replaced or whatever condition requires that the tires be removed. replacing these caps has become an expensive problem not only that, but dangerous as well. this is a faulty product, and should be looked at. i have called the buick people, and they refused to replace these caps. also, will not acknowledge the problem. *ak *sc *jb
