 Tl- the contact owns a 2003 buick regal. the contact stated the aluminum casting around three of the four rims is peeling off. the contact took the vehicle to a dealer and was told this has become a problem and it is hard to re-seal the wheels. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage and current mileages were 55,000.rl

 Oe chrome plated aluminum wheels on my 2003 buick regal. separation occurs between the chrome and the aluminum substrate resulting in an air leak, believed to be caused by salt corrosion. loss of air could result in a deflated tire and subsequent loss of control. discovered upon new tire purchase. *tr

 The chrome-plated alloy rims on the 2003 buick regal have the plating peeling off in sheets on the inside of the rims, where it can strike and potentially slice or damage the tires, brakes, brake lines, etc. *tr

 2003 buick regal unsafe tires deemed by goodyear tire co. consumer states that the inside of the rims is peeling back causing corrosion and flat tires. also the plating is hitting the brake drums and calipers. *kb
