Discovered problem before an incident occurred but i believe this issue requires some attention. the steel fuel supply line on my 2006 buick rendezvous that goes from the gas tank to the fuel injectors has a sleeve on it, located beneath the drivers seat, that traps moisture causing accelerated rust and corrosion of the pressurized supply line. the vehicle is only six years old and the amount of rust around the sleeve is advanced relative to the surrounding areas. without attention, the fuel line appears as if failure is imminent. while rust is inevitable and expected, this amount of rust in a relatively short period of time is surprising and, most likely, caused by the protective sleeve installed at the factory.
