| Odi evaluated general motors' (gm) data, conducted consumer interviews, inspected and tested my 2005-2007 gm minivans with regard to the alleged defect of a power sliding door (psd) opening while the vehicle is out of park.odi identified a high warranty claim rate.however, these claims are related to various problems associated with doors not properly opening or closing and not specifically to doors opening while driving.the condition of the psd reversing direction during the closing sequence is consistent with an obstruction of the door, or with improper alignment of the door, and this is addressed in gm technical service bulletin # 07-08-64-007 and bulletins # 07-08-64-007a through d.odi's evaluation of the psd system notes numerous safeguards to preclude both unintentional and intentional power opening of the psd while the vehicle is in motion.a safety-defect trend has not been identified at this time.accordingly, this investigation is closed.[see document file for additional information regarding this resume.] | ||||||

| Purchased 2007 buick teraza, both sliding doors have had ongoing issues. the vehicle has been in for repair multiple times per door, at one point i was told by the repair technician, as i handed him pieces of the door mounting, that it is a good thing i didn't open it one more time as the door likely would have fallen off! i have returned to my vehicle numerous times to find one of the slidiing door mysteriously open. due to ongoing nightmare of the doors opening i am careful to confirm the doors are closed and locked prior to leaving my vehicle, however they slide open on there own for no reason. the doors open mysteriously when the car is being driven, alarms ring signally doors are ajar when they are not, and/or fail to close with no confirmed obstruction. once i am able to close the door and drive away the odds are 50/50 that the next bump i hit in the road that door will open. leaving the choice to pull over in an unsafe location to correct or continue to a safe location and pray my child in the middle seat is safe. | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2007 buick terraza. the contact stated that the vehicle's automatic sliding doors have been repaired seven times. the doors open erratically and will open when the vehicle is locked. they will also come open while she is driving. the dealer has replaced motors, sensors and other items and the failure is still present. this failure is present on the drivers side and passenger side. the contact drives her grand children in the vehicle and is concerned about the doors opening when the children are in the vehicle. the owner wants gm to buy the vehicle back but they will not. they offered to extend the warranty on the doors but the contact stated the warranty is no good if the doors do not work. the failure mileage was 8,800. the current mileage was 30,000. rd | |||

| The automatic doors will not close properly and at times just open up. if i am able to close the doors, the door alarm continues to sound and will do so for several hours. i have had it looked at by the dealership and have been told it is fixed several times. i bought this vehicle new and it has less than 30000 miles on it. this is an outrage and no one will stand behind the vehicle. | |||

| I am having problems with the sliding doors, the passenger side sliding door would not close. after about and hour, got the door closed and now the door alarm stays on. have an appointment to get it looked at. after reading all the other complaints about these doors, i think they should have a recall to fix the problem. | |||

| Drive side power door does not close or latch fully to provide safety to passengers. several complaints have been issued to service center but since they could not duplicate-no action was done. service center would not replace random parts as the warranty would not cover. warranty dollar savings means more then consumer safety. at least eight times this issue was reported to flaherty auto without repair. still remains issue today with this door. has been issue since purchased in fall of 2006. *tr | |||
