 Enginelight on dashboard warned that there was a problem. after investigation it was clear that the timing chain had to be replaced. this was carried out without any courtesy from import-organisation or dealer. after 28.000 miles? unbelievable. it cost me a lot of money.

 February 2008,. received recall letter for new cadillac 2007. appointment was made and problem has not been corrected - end of february 2008. car still leaks from engine and leaves residue in driveway where parked. contacted dealership and they are not interested in repairing. cadillac customer service made another appointment for diagnostic for may 2008. car still not corrected. feel the car should be replaced. bought brand new - am 80 years old and need vehicle that is safe and secure. main reason for purchase. i cannot continue to take car back and forth to dealership and problem not corrected. feel it is a tactic and car should be replaced. the recall drive axle differential seal - bearings and other components including drive wheels, brakes, engine, etc..... *tr

 While vehicle was under power smoke then fire was observed coming from the engine compartment. vehicle was pulled to the roadside. fire intensified burning a hole through the hood above the master cylinder. *tr

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 cadillac cts. while driving 40 mph, the vehicle shut off without warning. the failure occurred on five separate occasions. the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. as of september 20, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. the powertrain was unknown. the failure mileage was 2,000 and current mileage was 11,998.
