| Pulling into a parking stall three-fourths in, just coasting foot not on brake or accelerator, my car suddenly accelerated and hit the concrete wall at the end of the parking space. this was unintended sudden acceleration. car towed to anderson cadillac, unsafe to drive. they checked codes and found nothing. car sent to body shop. $3000 damage to front end. *jb | |||

| The consumer states that the engine starts hard, more after sitting for a few minutes. (smells like fuel) the mechanic checked and found the fuel pressure regulator leaking/replaced the fuel pressure regulator. *scc | |||

| Dt*: the contact stated there was a strong odor of gasoline present inside the vehicle. the vehicle was seen by a dealer for inspection. the mechanic determined there was a leak from the fuel rail which was leaking onto the motor. the dealer replaced the fuel rails. there is a nhtsa recall, #04v110000, regarding the fuel system. the vehicle had the same problems as indicated in the recall; however it is not included in the recall due to the vin. *ak updated 5/4/2006 - *nm | |||

| First problem was the battery short on 5-26-99, then on 6-15-99 air bag light came on, stating to service air bag. vehicle was taken to dealer and i was advised that there was no problem with airbag system. on 7-7-99, air bag light came on again. vehicle taken to dealer and again advised that nothing was wrong,l just a faulty light. they also stated that the air bag would never deloy unlesss there was an accident. on 7-29-00 while stopped at a red light. airbag service light came on, and air bagsdeloyed immediately on drivers side door. vehicle taken to dealer and left for 27 days. gmc stated this has never happened to another vehicle. as i can see they lied to me, it has happened. i have a lawsuit pending with them since 11-29-99 requesting they buy back my vehicle. nothing has been heard from since. on 11-1-99 fuel gauge sensor went out and had to be replaced. all these problems started with a battery short on 5-26-99 and the computer has a mind of its own. please note: the air bag has only deployed once. however, i had two previous warnings. *ak | |||

| Fuel tank had a hole which caused a fuel leak which leaked about 3 gallons of fuel onto the ground, and could have caused a fire. the hole was painted over with black paint which seemed the manufacturer or dealer was covering up the hole. please provide further information. *ak | |||

| While driving at any speed the vehicle will shut down without prior warning. dealer installed a black box, and the consumer stated that in cold weather can't put gas into the gas tank due to the cover and cap freezing up. also, windshield wipers don't work. the button for the high and low works but nothing else. when vehicle stalls all electrical power is lost including brakes and steering. vehicle is back in shop, and the dealer can't determine the problem. *ak | |||
