 Dt*: the contact stated while traveling various speeds or while stationary, the exterior side view mirrors and front roof pillars obstructed the view and created blind spots to the front sides of the vehicle. the contact also mentioned that there were other models which had the side mirrors attached to the door, instead of the window pillar. the contact had noticed many newer model vehicles, such as the nissan versa and mini cooper being manufactured this way. the manufacturer and dealer were not contacted. updated 12/18/06. *jb

 The vehicle stalled intermittently. the brakes failed, and the vehicle was involved in two front end collisions. *ak there was a funny noise in the engine at idle speed. the engine would lose power and stall. the service manager suggested that there were problems with the 2000-2004 model with this same problem. the front brake linings were worn, the dash pad was peeling at the leading edge near the defrost edge near the defrost grille due to delamination and the coin holder housing had come apart and split at the seam. *sc the crankshaft position sensor was replaced. *jb

 Tl* the contact owns a 2000 cadillac deville. the contact was driving 25 mph when she applied the brakes and the brake pedal was depressed into the floor board abnormally. in addition, there was an abnormal increase in stopping distance and time. upon inspection of the vehicle, the contact discovered a brake fluid leak under the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnosis where it was determined that the brake line was rusted thoroughly. the contact also stated that the rear doors were not able to be opened from the interior of the vehicle. the failure and the current mileages were 85,000.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2000 cadillac deville. the contact stated that while driving 25 mph she applied the brake and the pedal went to the floor and the vehicle could barely stop. upon further investigation there was a puddle of brake fluid under the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnosis and it was determined that the brake line rusted out on the vehicle. the contact recommends the brake lines be made out of something that doesn not rust out. the contact also stated that the rear doors are not able to be opened from inside the vehicle. the failure and current mileages were 85,000. dt

 Consumer was traveling on the highway and suddenley vehicle accelerated and took off in traffic, consumer had both feet on the brakes, the vehicle did not respond appropriately for brakes, vehicle was out of control. *ak consumer states that the drivers seat heater is inoperative, driver and passenger front seat belt buckles were out of position, and the passenger side plastic retainer was broke, while pulling into a parking space consumer lost all power steering, dealer replaced rack and pinion, engine is making a knocking noise, while accelerating vehicle started in third gear, which the gears seem to lock up internally, vehicle starts vibrating at approximately 50 mph, the right center dash a/c vent closes by it self, the night vision lens is cracked and the console holder and latch broke.*yd

 The glove box locked automatically and could not be opened, consumer took vehicle into dealer on two occasions and finally after waiting for 4 1/2 hours, the glove box was finally installed.*jb

 Sunvisors on passenger's and driver's sides will not push fowaard beyond verticle position, blocking drivers vision. consumer has contacted the dealer. please provide any further information.*ak

 The poorly designed sunvisors on the car cannot be pushed far enough forward to allow proper visibility, when pulled down they stop directly in fron of drivers eyes. nlm
