| Front wheel bearings have dangerously failed prematurely two times in 113,000 miles. failed dangerously at 60,000 and 113000 miles. this resulted in front wheel shimmy (shaking steering wheel excessively) at high speeds and at all times when braking. felt like i was loosing brakes when braking down a hill. when car is jacked up wheel rocked back and forth about 2 inches. seems to me that this is a common problem on gm cars that use the cartridge type of wheel hub bearing assemblies as indicated by numerous post on the internet and my personal experience as an auto mechanic. *tr | |||

| Tl. the contact owns a 2002 cadillac deville. the contact stated while 10 mph the brakes malfunctioned. the contact had to pump the brake pedal in order for the brakes to work properly. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer stated the brake line was broken. the dealer replaced the brake line. the contact stated if the vehicle was driving on the highway a crash could have occurred due to the faulty brakes. the failure mileage was 74,000. jo | |||

| Consumer complaining about the design of the accelerator pedal being close to the brake pedal. mr the consumer states that it causes additional seconds to get his foot on the brake pedal from the accelerator pedal. the consumer also states that the same maneuver happens when his right foot hits the end of the side vertical panel. scc when looking in the rear view mirror, consumer can only see one quarter of the bottom horizontal view. on a sunny day, the illuminated numbers on the dash are not visible and requires repeated glances to obtain an accurate reading. the passenger door handle is difficult to reach for closing once it has been opened. *jg | |||

| While driving 55 mph consumer's vehicle collided with the vehicle in front. consumer applied the brakes, but consumer's vehicle had already crashed into the other vehicle. upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy driver sustained minor injuries, and was taken to the hospital. vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection, but dealer failed to resolve the problem. *ak | |||
