 Tl*the contact owns a 1994 cadillac eldorado. while driving at 65 mph on september 5, 2008, the rpms suddenly increased to 6000 repeatedly. while the contact was driving to the dealership, the vehicle lost power. the vehicle was towed to a repair shop where the mechanic informed the contact that the transmission failed. the contact called the manufacturer in reference to recall 93v164000 (vehicle speed control) and was told that the vehicle was not included. the current and failure mileages were approximately 186,000.

 Battery acid exploded under the hood, consumer states battery was supposed to last six years, and at that time it was only three years old, vehicle had to be towed and dealership gave no answer as to what caused battery to explode.(ac delco battery)*jb

 Consumer experiencing on going problem with the engine; the engine was removed on three occasions for following reasons; 1. overheating, 2. transmission and 3. replaced some plugs which hold the anti-freeze. *ak
