Defect SummaryCertain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line.
Consequence SummaryThis condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur.
Corrective SummaryHoneywell will notify owners and replace the fuel filters free of charge. the recall began on october 18, 2006. owners may contact fram customer service at 1-800-890-2075 (option 1).

Defect SummaryVehicle description: sport utility vehicles, equipped with a floor mounted rosen video entertainment center, fail to conform to the requirements of fmvss no. 301, fuel system integrity. due to the method of installation of the video entertainment center by the installed, the vehicle may not meet the fuel spillage requirements of the standard in a vehicle crash.
Consequence SummaryFuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire.
Corrective SummaryIf the entertainment center is installed on the right-hand side (passenger side), no correction is required. if the entertainment center is installed on the left-hand side (driver side), the dealer will remove and reinstall the entertainment center with a revised attachment bracket. the dealer will also inspect, and if necessary, replace the fuel return line.

 While driving vehicle would stall unexpectedly which could cause a crash. dealer replaced fuel pump. but problem was still occurring. also, dealer said that consumer needed to replace electrical parts, as well. *ak

 Fuel gauge was inadequate to the amount in the fuel tank. vehicle has a 25 gallon tank, and would empty in 200 miles to a full tank. the sum pump (pulls the gas to the tank) broke completely and was lying at the of the tank. dealer was notified. please add more information.*ak
