| Defect Summary | Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. | |||||||||||||||

| Defect Summary | Vehicle description: sport utility vehicles, equipped with a floor mounted rosen video entertainment center, fail to conform to the requirements of fmvss no. 301, fuel system integrity. due to the method of installation of the video entertainment center by the installed, the vehicle may not meet the fuel spillage requirements of the standard in a vehicle crash. | |||||||||||||||

| Smelled gas fumes coming from gas tank area. a mechanic told me that there is a leak in the gas tank area that needs to be replaced as soon as possible as this may ignite causing fire. we saw on line that there was indeed a recall of this car model for the same above cited reason. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2000 cadillac escalade. while driving 65 mph in overdrive, the vehicle stalled. the power steering and/or brakes stopped working. the contact was unable to move the vehicle out of the flow of traffic on the highway. a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who stated that the fuel pump failed. the emc fuse was also blown due to the failure of the fuel pump. the repairs were made at the cost of over $900. the manufacturer could not assist due to the expiration of the warranty. the failure and current mileages were 133,000. | |||

| Fuel tank leaks, has been replaced twice, i started complaining after the first month after the purchase of the vehicle. it would leak over 1/2 gallon of fuel. gm and dealership keep making excuses of the problem and the odor. i have taken the vehicle in over 7 times in 3 years for the odor and leaking fuel. this has taken me away from work and numerous hours in scheduling for repairs. i am constantly worried about my safety in this vehicle. i am currently in a law suit with gm. *nlm | |||
