Abs brakes/brake system: bought a pre-owned cadillac escalade 2002, after it reached about 75000 miles, abs system makes a loud grinding noise when u press the brakes, extremely loud, brought the truck to a cadillac dealership claimed they didn't find anything wrong.....something needs to be recalled with these trucks in regards to the abs systems.....never made that sound before when i had owned it for about a year, after a year started to make a horrible unsafe loud noise when u press the brakes....feel very unsafe in the vehicle..... also the truck accelerated once without my foot on the gas......truck was in park so the truck didn't move--just accelerated like it wanted to race. noticed an electrical problem that started in the truck at around 80,000 miles---not all sensored areas are lit, 1/2 are, 1/2 are not, drivers heated seat stopped working also.*jb

I was driving with my children in my 2002 cadillac escalade and there was a real bad burning smell and smoke coming from my back seat. i looked in the back seat and there was smoke coming from the rear drivers side seat. the heated seats had gotten turned on by accident or turned on by themselves. we pulled over and got the two kids out of there carseats turned the heated seat switch off, waited for the seat to cool off. thankfully we caught it in time as my children could have been injured. i put in a complaint to cadillac to file arbitration as my heated seats have been reapired 3 times prior to them melting. cadillac denied arbitration and told me the dealer will repair it yet again.*ak
