Defect Summary | Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. | |||||||||||||||
Consequence Summary | This condition may cause an inadequate seal at the connection, potentially leading to a fuel leak. in the presence of an ignition source, a fire could occur. | |||||||||||||||

Tl* - the contact owns a 2005 cadillac escalade. the contact stated that the vehicle would only get 8 mpg in the city and 10 mpg on the highway. this was without running the air, or heat, and not playing music or using any of the electrical implements. the dealer stated that after reaching an odometer reading of 2, 000 miles the vehicle should get the mileage that was advertised. the contact did mostly city driving and took care of the vehicle. the contact stated that since purchasing the vehicle in september 2005, it has never reached the mpg that it should. the current mileage was 9,050.*ak the consumer has included the mileage page at time of purchase and legal document from lawyer. the consumer stated the dealer said sometimes they get vehicles in like that and there is nothing that they can do. update 4/25/07*tr updated *jb |
