Corrective SummaryDealers will clean the exterior case of the sensing and diagnostic module (sdm) and appply a potting compound to the sdm case and electrical connector body.

 The airbag on the drivers side involuntarily deployed without impact . the air bag light illuminated causing the ocnsumer to have the delaer inspect for a problem. the vehicle's make, model, year and vin# was not included in the recall (nhtsa id#98-v-115-000 manufacturer id# 98032). the dealer indicated the air bag module beneath the drivers seat has failed. the dealership and manufacturer are aware and will assist with the problem. nlm

 Dt: on may 15, 2004, the airbags deployed, resulting in an accident. the consumer stated that while making a turn n both frontal airbags deployed. this caused him to misjudge the medium. there was no crash or injuries. there was major damage to the vehicle, which was totaled. the consumer found that there was a recall 98v115000 for the airbags. but when he contacted the manufacturer, they told him that this vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin. the consumer found information that said that vin fell within the vin range without a doubt. the manufacturer has not been helpful to the consumer. *ak

 While traveling about 20-25mph on highway, another vehicle crossed into consumer's vehicle lane and hit her . upon impact, dual airbags didn't go off at all. dealership was aware of problem.*ak there was an impact of 60 mph between the 2 vehicles, 2 people were injured in the accident. *slc

 While proceeding through a green light, east bound, another car going southbound at about 65, hit consumer's vehicle almost head on. upon impact, neither front or side airbags deployed, consumer was seriousy injured. *ak

 The consumer stated that he was driving 10mph on the highway driver's airbag deployed. he was at a stop sign and was making a left turn when with left signal on , and the airbag blew . *ak

 While driving in a flood-type water, the driver's and passenger's airbag system deployed. manufacturer sent letters to consumer urging her to disconnect the battery if vehicle is being submerged in water because it causes the airbag to deploy. although manufacturer is aware of the problem, he wont' fix the problem. *ak
