The airbag on the drivers side involuntarily deployed without impact . the air bag light illuminated causing the ocnsumer to have the delaer inspect for a problem. the vehicle's make, model, year and vin# was not included in the recall (nhtsa id#98-v-115-000 manufacturer id# 98032). the dealer indicated the air bag module beneath the drivers seat has failed. the dealership and manufacturer are aware and will assist with the problem. nlm | |||

Dt: on may 15, 2004, the airbags deployed, resulting in an accident. the consumer stated that while making a turn n both frontal airbags deployed. this caused him to misjudge the medium. there was no crash or injuries. there was major damage to the vehicle, which was totaled. the consumer found that there was a recall 98v115000 for the airbags. but when he contacted the manufacturer, they told him that this vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin. the consumer found information that said that vin fell within the vin range without a doubt. the manufacturer has not been helpful to the consumer. *ak | |||
