Timing chains! car was parked, and went to start it and it wouldn't start. had it towed to dealer and they told me it was timing chains and $2800.00. in doing some research, found that 2004 - 2006 models are having issues with the oil getting to the chains properly, because the hole is too small to lubricate chains. i buy high end cars and take care of them. this is the first time a timing chain has ever gone out on any of my vehicles. (been driving 40 some years) a mechanic has told me that they are seeing more and more of them. i think there should be a recall or at least someone looking into this. another person that i know of had their 2004 cts timing chains go out while driving down the freeway and it blew the engine.
