| Tl-the contact owns a 2012 cadillac srx. the contact stated after parking the vehicle and the gear shift in drive, she removed the key from the ignition and locked the vehicle with the remote key. the vehicle allowed her to lock the vehicle with the gear in drive. after parking the vehicle for twenty minutes she came back outside and the vehicle reverse itself went down a hill, curved to the left, did a horse shoe thru the yard, went into the neighbors driveway all this in reverse. then it went forward back into the yard crash into a dogwood tree, ran over a fence continued thru the yard and pushed a trampoline ten to fifteen feet curved around and then came to a full stop. neither the on star nor the alarm ever went off. the police was notified and a report was available if needed. the entire right side and front of the vehicle was badly damaged. no one was injured. the insurance company was notified. the vehicle was towed to the dealer for repairs. the manufacturer was notified and a claim was file. they also stated if it did not stated in the handbook that the gear shift should be in park before locking the vehicle they are not liable for any damages or any failure. they offered no other assistance. the failure mileage was 500. mw | |||
