 Bombardier recreational products, can-am roadster dynamic power steering unit wherein a force greater than expected to initiate the turning of the steering handlebar of the vehicle to correct its trajectory may steer the vehicle out of lane which increases the possibility of a crash with other traffice or of a drive off the road sitution.

 Ca-am / roadster spyder 2010 rts se5 transmition. since purchase the roadster has being having on going stalling issues while operating. this roadster with the se5 transmition requires the vehicle to come to a complete stop before neutral gear can be engaged for a restart. this problem has happened while operating in traffic and puts the driver and passenger at risk from a rear end collision.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2010 cam am spider motorcycle . while driving at the speeds of 35mph coming to a stop when the vehicle shifted down by itself to 3rd gear to the 1st gear. the vehicle instead of stopping surged forward where he put a lot of force on the brakes to stop the vehicle. this has occurred 2 additional times. the dealer was contacted and they stated that this is a known issue. the vehicle has not been diagnosed and repaired at this moment.the failure mileage were 610 and the current were 640.cv

 Can-am roadster dynamic power steering (dps) unit replacement recall bombardier recreational products inc. 565 de la montagne street valcourt, quebec, canada joe 2lo t 450.532.2211 f 450.532.5133 www.brp.com i received a notice in the mail regarding this recall but when i called my dealer to have the remedy applied i was told that brp was sending only a single replacement unit at a time. so the dealer is having to queue owners and delay fixing vehicles for what could end up being weeks. this leaves many owners on the roads with the potentially extremely dangerous defect.

 Had trouble putting it into neutral when stopped. this happened frequently (daily). coming to a stop it acted like the clutch was not engaging and then the engine stopped. could not get it started until i just held the starter switch, let the bike jerk along and then start. dealer said it was the ceramic clutch bearings, and they would change them out with steel bearings. are they all like this? could find no recall to fix the problem.
