STRUCTURE - FRAME AND MEMBERS
04/05/2011
Various rv companies used frames made by 'lippert components' during production in the mid 2005 era. there is an issue of these frames cracking in the area of the axles. a catastrophic failure would result in loss on control. lippert is aware of this issue, issued 'lip sheet-0315 rev a' to document the repairs. ther should be a recall to inspect & modify as required.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Ref. dometic national recall 08e-032. i have tried to get resolution of the refrigerator fire hazard under recall for my 2005 5th wheel rv. i have contacted three (3) recommended vendor svc. agents but to no avail. none will perform the work for the fee offered by dometic. normally, the required safety kit is easily installed on most ref. units without much effort; however, for my rv configuration, the ref. will have to be removed, the gas line relocated, and the safety kit installed. attempts to seek resolution with the dometic agent has fallen on deaf ears. my complaint is that a fire hazard hs been introduced into my rv unit and dometic has failed to properly respond with any viable solution. i present his feedback in the hope that some additional solutions might be available. one vendor hinted that i might have an issue with my rv mfr. i disagree since my rv mfr. did not provide the defective ref. unit which is the focus of the dometic national recall. *tr
