The gas alarm did not sound even though the trailer was so full of propane we felt sick breathing it just a few seconds as we opened windows, etc. i had removed one propane tank early in the day to take it for refilling. based on the operating instructions, i thought the regulator would prevent gas flow from one tank out the hose to the other tank. about 2 weeks after this the low battery alarm sounded until we changed the position of the battery disconnect switch. there is no information on how the alarm is wired or how it works in the trailer owner documentation. i have no faith in the device. *jb
EQUIPMENT - RECREATIONAL VEHICLE

This is regards to a recall notice that was obtained on line about a appliance in an rv and this site was given. after our refrigerator stopped working and we lost all of our food due to the unit not turning back on either with electric or lp gas we tried to go through our extended service contract which we paid for. we had a service rep come out and advise that our unit was part of the recall did not advise as to what to do for the recall but advised that our cooling unit needed to be replaced. we then went on line to verify that our unit was part of the recall that advised that we need to shut it down immediately 1) do not operate with lp gas and do not have it run on electric unless necessary and do not operate unit while occupants are asleep. this was part of a recall from04/2008 we never received a recall notice so the unit ran from 04/2008 until 11/2008 and then from 04/2009 until it stopped running 05/2009 al the while my family was using and sleeping in unit. the manufacturer with the warranty advised since the unit is not currently working they can not replace what is wrong and they do not believe that cause of the unit to stop running is due to the recall even though the back or sides have a yellow residue and it is not properly cooling which is 2 of the 4 issues that are wrong. the manufacture will not look at it and the service company advised that they will only repair with refurbished parts that are the reasonable price based upon the nationally flat rate factory manuals cost. now my summer has been ruined i am out more for a service contract that will not assist a manufacturer that will not assist even to mail out the recall itself and i am afraid of what could of happen to my family as well as what health risks we took by staying in an unsafe environment. i am looking for some help i thought that i was purchasing quality items for the price paid for the contract and vehicle. please help!!!! *tr

On our trip to huston,tx. from brich run, mi. on april 13, 2011 while traveling southwest on hwy i70 we had a tire on our fifth wheel trailer blow out and disintagrate. we also had another one blow on april 16, 2011 ( from a tread/broken belt seperation). the cost of the resulting damage is not known at this time as the estimate is not back. both could have caused an accident if one was not experianced at driving with a trailer. tires were st235/85r/ 16d's brand is radial trail, ultra crt, made in china.
