 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet 1500. the vehicle has american amtrak tires (na). the brakes on the vehicle were changed, but have been failing ever since the vehicle was purchased. the first failure occurred at 9,000 miles, the second at 16,000 miles, and the third at 30,000 miles. the brakes currently need to be replaced for the fourth time. the rotors were turned, but continue to make a squealing noise. when the contact drives through water, the dealer stated that water eats away at the rotors and they become crystallized and crack. he does not drive through water that much. the tires that came with the vehicle were rated at 25,000, but have been changed four different times. this last time he purchased michelin tires there were no failures. he called the manufacturer and they stated that they would call him back. three days have passed and the contact has not received a call. the dot number and tire size were unknown. the failure mileage was 9,000. updated 05/05/09. lj
