| Defect Summary | Mobilityworks is recalling 224 my 2007-2008 ford e150, my 2006-2008 e250, my 2004-2007 e350, my 2006 e450, my 2005-2007 chevrolet 2500, my 2007 chevrolet 1500, and my 2006 dodge 2500 vans equipped with ricon platform style wheelchair lifts. these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 404, platform lift installations in motor vehicles. the threshold warning system may not detect the presence of a wheelchair or mobility aid user in a certain spot within the defined threshold area. | |||||||||||||||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet 2500 hd. while driving downhill between 30-50 mph, the transmission began shifting out of gear unexpectedly when the brake pedal was depressed. the road surface was icy. the check engine warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel and remained illuminated until the engine was turned off. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing and they stated that the failure was related to a blocked heater cord. the vehicle was repaired. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was 37,000 and current mileage was 37,400. | |||

| Vehicle almost hit garage due to pulsing of brakes during dry stop. an inspection revealed fluid leakage at the abs module under the cab. brake lines appear severely pitted and corroded. | |||

| When coming to a stop, at speeds of less than 5mph, the brake pedal goes to the floor as if the abs is activating. this happens on smooth dry pavement. taken to several mechanics and dealers and everyone says everything is working the way it should. i've heard of other owners of this make/model experiencing the same problems. whenever i let someone else drive my truck, i make sure i stress that it will not stop when it should, so far no wrecks. andrew aquilano | |||

| Have federal couragia mt tires currently on my truck. bought last year and have approximately 10,000 miles on them bought them new. notices cracks in the sidewalk. now they are running and getting larger, also seen several other complaints on these tires for the same thing. very dangerous. size 285/76/16 | |||
