| The lock on the tailgate became difficult to lock. then, a week later while driving 35 mph down a city street, the tailgate dropped open. when i tried closing it, the left side would not latch. the tailgate handle was replaced a week later. this was the second time this part was replaced. this same thing happened in 2008 when it was still under warranty. | |||

| While traveling at approximately 45 mph the speedometer showed 72 mph. i see a recall for 2005 avalanche but my vin number does not qualify. | |||

| Anytime i turn the air on in my 2005 chevy avalanche it makes a high pitch screaming sound. i have had two blower motors installed and it is in need of a third. this sound is still present even after i have had the new motors installed. i have had one mechanic say their is a crack in the plenum box and it would take 11 1/2 hours to repair and cost $ 1700. this is the only quote i have had so far. i have had it at the dealership where i bought it and they never seem to find anything, then again they seldom do anything right. | |||

| The speedometer in my '05 avalanche stays at zero while driving or reads anywhere form 20-40 mph slower than i am going. i was doing about 50 mph on the freeway passing everyone (according to my speedometer) and passing everyone in sight. it felt a little fast so i turned on my gps and realized i was going about 80 mph. this is a major problem and gm needs to recall the vehicle. *tr | |||
