| Went to start my vehicle and it flashed service airbag. took it to the gm dealer and they say its the left front impact sensor. i have heard that this is a common issue for these vehicles and think that this being a safety issue, should be covered by the manufacturer. | |||

| Service airbag light has been on since 2006, which was about 6 month after i purchased the vehicle. i took it to the shop three times while it was under warranty. each time they fixed it to where the light went off for a month or so, and it soon came back on. the light hasn't been off since. after reading all of the other 2005 chevy avalanche issues people are having, i guess i should count my blessings. hope i don't ever need an airbag! | |||

| Dt: the contact's vehicle was involved in a crash. upon impact neither of the front air bags deployed. the vehicle was pulling a trailer when the trailer hit a spot of ice. then the vehicle went out of control and rolled over. a police report was taken at the scene. both the driver and passenger sustained injuries. the manufacturer has not been contacted.*ak updated 2/7/2006 - *nm | |||
