| Gm has a safety issue with dashboards cracking near where the airbag deploys on the passenger side of the vehicles. there is also cracking on the left side of the instrument pod. all cracks are in identical areas of these same model years and newer. i have 2 vehicles (2007 tahoe and 2007 avalanche with same cracks and will file 2 complaints). *tr | |||

| 2007 chevrolet avalanche tailgate handle broke while opening tailgate. many gm trucks seem to have this problem. dealer did not have it in stock. the dealer recommended lmctruck.com, but they do not carry avalanche parts. this problem happened on our last avalanche a 2005, when it turned 4 years old also. judging from just doing a google tailgate handle search, this seems to be a widespread problem through many model years and trim levels. | |||

| My 2007 avalanche demonstrates a popping and creaking noise from the front end while in 4 wheel drive and turning a sharp corner. this noise is accompanied by a felt binding in the steering wheel and a feeling of a loss of power. *tr | |||
