Own a 2007 chevrolet avalanche 5.3l flex fuel v8 4x4. recently when starting it, it turned over longer than normal, and then started with rpm gauge still at 0 rpm's. then put in reverse, and it said stabilitrack is off and needs servicing soon. truck started moving backwards, and then seemed as if the brakes were applied, wheels simply would not move backwards. tried to movie it back and forth several times. thought brakes were applied or transfer case or axle or differential had issues. then started it again 3 minutes later and everything worked fine and back to normal, except check engine light was on. an hour later, started it again and this time everything was back to normal. called dealer and they stated they had seen this before, but it most likely won't be under warranty. odd seeing as how a large number of other people with tahoes/suburbans/avalanches, and other vehicles expressed the same issue online and on forums...
