I have a 93 s10 blazer and the truck shut down while my daughter was driving. the ecmb fuse was blown and would blow out when the ignition switch would be turned on. i finally tracked the problem down to the fuel pump. when i removed the gas tank and pulled out the fuel pump, the wire inside the tank were welded together and the plug on the end of the fuel pump was melted (fused) together. this really concerns me that these internal components can get hot enough to melt they could easily cause the tank to explode. also the wiring is attached to the sending unit and to replace both of these components it will cost over $600 just for parts. this is a terrible design and a nasty hazard, somebody may be killed. *jb

I over took care of this truck as i loved it so much. it now repulses me to look at it. i thought that maybe it was a lemon but my brother had one a year older that had the same engine problems with the radiator, alternator repairs fuel injection, roller cam, engine replacement @ 73,000 miles only he dumped his before the engine need replaced and no customer service from gm. the only way its like a rock is when it sinks in a lake! i called gm got a case #990448783 (8/9/99) but now it has a new engine it still sound like the alternator is going every time i have it looked at it cost $200.00 and they find some thing else. when i have the money to dump it i will and i will never own another gm product i'm now $5,600 into this but it will be my last gm truck or product.
