I have reviewed other owners complaints regarding their front suspension, fuel pump with random shut offs. my vehicle is experiencing the same and similar problems. as of today my vehicle is in the shop;i was doing 35-40 mph when vehicle just un expectedly shut off. i was stranded on a major road which cause a significant traffic delay. i have an oil leak from the hose leading to my oil filter and the vehicle pull to the right sharply if i release the steering wheel. the vehicle makes a popping sound when turning. these problems are hard to find just an isolated incident when so many consumers are having the same problems. *nlm

The electric smog pump on my 2001 chevy blazer had failed when pump filled with water and shorted out. this is caused due to the short intake hose to the pump. this is an apparent known issue with gm, but they will not replace the pump. this also causes the vehicle to fail emissions testing. gm wanted $400 for the pump + labor to repair the issue. once the part became available for 3rd party vendors, we were able to replace the pump ourselves, added a longer intake hose, and the vehicle now runs correctly. i feel that since gm is aware of this issue and it adversely effects the emission control of the vehicle, the repair should be gm's responsibility. *tr

There is an error code in teh computer p0410 the secondary injector needs to be replaced again and again, it was covered under warranty the first time. then wemoved to massachusetts and the light came on again which i then got it fixed and paid for it on my own because it wasn't under warranty, and the light came on again with teh same code p0410 the secondary air injector. i haven't been abel to get the vehicle inspected due to teh error code becuase it caused an emmsisions failure. the second time cost me $400, i've looked on the internet only to find that many other poeple have the same problem and no recall has been issued as of yet. i have contacted chevrolet about the problem, which to no avail they would not cover the part orany cost of a new one. the vehicle was still not inspected nor will ever be because replacing the part apperently wasn't the problem. is there anything the nhtsa could do in this situation? *ak

I purchased a used 2001 chevrolet blazer last march. i had the vehicle for 1 month and the service engine soon light came on. i took it to the garage and they said i needed an air intake box. i was able to get a used one. after one year i am back to the same situation. this air intake box that was another vehicle had the same problem. when removed the box contains alot of condensation. the service garage does not know why this happens. the condensation i am sure is whats causing the box to fail. i would like this investigated to see if this is a recall.*ak

I purchased my vehicle in 4/01 and seven months later i began experiencing a host of problems with my vehicle, starting with multifunction switch worn, then hood hinges worn, exhaust (muffler broken) right speaker inoperable, left front seat adjuster broken, grill assembly loose, brake pedal broken and finally transmission failure (needs replacing). i have done a bit of inquiring to other chevy blazer owners and found out that they have or had experience some if not all of the same problems that i am experiencing now. i am hereby respectfully requesting your assistance in rectifying this complaint. i don't think that after 11mths of purchasing my vehicle i should be needing my transmission replace. from passed experienced with replacing a transmission on my wife new vehicle (mazda mx3) back in 1992 it has never been the same. we had been having the same problems and more with it. we were able to actually get another vehicle and the same problem keep occuring . after that long and tiring experience with my wife's car i now that this won't be no different. i have purchased a lemon and i need to know what recourse i can take to insure that i would not be stuck with a vehicle that would be costing me more to have it constantly fixed and replace. i thank you for your help and assistance in this long and tiring ordeal. i anxiously await hearing from you. respectfully yours. *ak
