I have a 2001 chevy blazer, 4 dr & 4 wheel drive. and after only 28,660 mi. all 4 front & rear rotors rusted out causing the replacement of all front & rear brake pads & rotors to be replaced.for all 4 rotors to rust out at the same time and at such low mileage requires me to complain. it was an accident waiting to happen. i complained to the chevy division with no results. i was told it was normal wear and tear, which i think is rediculous. i owned chevies most of my life and i never had a problem like this. i could see one or two rotors going bad but not 4 at the same time.especially rusting out.

In december of 2003 my wife and i drove our 2001 chevrolet blazer 4x4 home to north carolina from massachusetts where i am stationed in the us coast guard. on january 14, 2005 i took the vehicle in for its state inspection in nc and found out that the left wheel hub was so loose that the whole wheel was about to come off. the odometer read 68267. today (8/13/2005) my wife came home from church and told me there was a problem with the blazer. the abs light was illuminated. i was curious so i jacked up the front of the vehicle and come to find out the right wheel is about to come off. the hub is that loose. i am going to find out more on monday when i get the vehicle in a shop. *jb

I have at least 1 friend whose general motors vehicle had the same failure with the wheel hub assembly at similar low mileage. wheel bearings on a new vehicle should last longer than 37,000 miles. i believe this is general motors/chevrolet defect.*ak

Consumer heard a noise in the front of vehicle. consumer stated he had been hearing it a little, but currently the noise became more pronounced. consumer had already replaced the transmission once. *ak the consumer had to fill the tires every week. the tires leaked air since purchase. the tire service dealer suggested that there was no leak and that corrosion built up on the wheels in which air escaped through the rim of tires. there was a thumping noise in the front end and seems like it happens worst on right turns, the left wheel bearing was loose in the hub bearing assembly, the hood hinges rattling excessive clearence, there was excessive slippage and the clutch burnt.
