 The office of defects investigation has received 375 reports alleging failure of the driver's seat frame which is prone to breakage at the left front attaching point.when this occurs, the seat may tilt away from the riser during accelerating or braking.(see closing report)

 Vehicle experienced failure of the seat belts and the driver's seat bolts prior to recall notices, recall repair on seat belts did not remedy failure.

 I contacted the dealership first, they then referred me to customer assistance where i was informed that there had been a recall for this problem late last year and that my vehicle was not included in it. i also informed them that i had received a recall notice and when i took the vehicle up to green chevrolet (currently american chevrolet) they told me that they couldn't fix the problem because at that time the seat was operating correctly.

 Owner states that metal bracket that holds driver's seat in place keeps breaking because there is not enough strength for it to hold in place . he also notes that while braking speed down from 60mph the metal bracket breakes.
 Passenger's side seat track moved, when trying to stop, took to dealer and he replaced seat track, tried to adjust locking mechanism. *ak

 The metal that connects the base to the seat broke which causes the seat to lay back while vehicle is in motion. *ak consumer states where the bucket seat is connected to the base on the driver seat front left side, the metal that goes to the base and bolt has fatigued and broke, chevrolet will not assist consumer and states that this is normal wear and tear. *slc

 Dt: 1994 chevrolet 1500. the consumer stated that there was a recall on a bolt for the seat about seven years ago. the recall repairs were done. after the recall repairs were completed the consumer was driving and the seat failed. the consumer called chevrolet and they stated that the recall work was out of warranty and that the consumer would have to pay to have the seat repaired again. the seat failure did not result in a crash or any injuries.*ak *mr
