| When the consumer attempted to apply the brakes, the pedal went to the floor and the vehicle pulled to the right on its own without warning. the consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle and drove it to the dealer. the mechanic informed the consumer that the brake pads needed replacement. please provided additional information. *jb | |||

| Antilock brakes engage at slow speeds needing further stopping distances. this problem has been happening for at least three years. i have called the dealer several times and checked for recalls on this defect. when i did find out they were recalling in other states i again called the dealer to complain. now that there is a recall i find that my vehicle is not included. *nm | |||

| Traveling approximately 25 mph i began for an upcoming stop sign, two school buses were already stopped as i applied the brakes the peddle went quickly to the floor with little results, i was able to put the truck in low gear, turned onto the shoulder and with the emer. brake and what little brake that was left i was able to get stopped safely. i would learn the welding on the upper shock bracket had failed allowing movement which allowed metal to rub against the brake line which runs past that area. the line failed with the lose of fluid and the brakes. repairs included replacing of the upper frt.susp control arm assy misc brackets and shelds and rewelding upper shock bracket. it also included replacement of the brake line.*ak | |||

| When applying brakes, there is a vibration and pulsation coming from pedal.*ak. consumer states brakes fail to stop vehicle and travels an extra 10-20 feet which consumer believes is abs failure, the dealer determined that there was a bad module and the abs fuse had to be reomve in order for the vehicle to operate.*jb | |||

| When putting on brakes the brakes feel like they jump and your vehicle hops to a stop. have replaced front brakes 3 times in two years and back brakes 2 times. the steering feels loose sometimes when you turn right or left. dealer has replaced the brake caliber on right side front once already and rotors on right side front when applying brakes vehicle vibrates. they have also replaced something on the steering but it is still doing the same thing.*ak | |||

| Gmc still has a brake problem, the front brakes. they last about 6000 miles. i tried after market and now the dealer. the front rotors cost $350 ea plus labor and parts. this is ridiculous everty 6000 miles. the master cylinder rubber parts slowly leak and the anti lock system either makes the usual noise when the brakes lock up or other times the wheels skid. there is an obvious problem with the brakes. there is no posting atthe dealer and no notice by gm, but the dealers are aware of the problems. the rotors have a tendency to warp easy.*ak | |||
