Noted difficulty in distance needed to stop about 1 year ago. also braking jerkiness. took to gm dealer repairs (new brakes) about 400.00 after a few weeks problem returned another gm dealer bill of 300.00 (for brakes) (believed first set may be faulty) then after a few weeks problem returned took to a different dealer and the wheel speed sensors cleaned then the problem returned a few weeks later. vehicle is very unstable, unsafe to drive. *jb

Have 1998 chevrolet silverado club cab pickup truck. when slowing to stop, the abs braking system malfunctions and the brakes prohibit the truck from coming to a stop in time. have read of investigation with abs brakes on other years. the 1998 is no different. i've had many close calls and much difficulty in getting some answers as to why were other years recalled and not the 1998. it is doing the same thing other models have a history of doing.*jb
