 The office of defects investigation has received 375 reports alleging failure of the driver's seat frame which is prone to breakage at the left front attaching point.when this occurs, the seat may tilt away from the riser during accelerating or braking.(see closing report)

 Driver's seat will not lock at all when applying brakes. driver seat goes all the way up to the front. dealership is aware of the problem at this time. passenger's side seat was replaced due to a broken bracket. currently, driver's side has to be replaced.*ak

 Driver's seat was replaced due to brackets on left front not holding. this caused the seat to be unstable & would rock backwards when braking or accelerating. if leaning back on seat it would rock. this is hazardous to driver. seat has been repaired at dealership. *ak *ml

 On 5 separate occasions the bolts on the reclining seat back have broken allowing the seat back to recline to the rear on the extended cab model. bolts first broke when the vehicle was 18 mo. old with 14000 mi. the fifth break was at 5 years and 75000 mi.

 The seat frame broke around the main bolt holding the seat to the body bracket, metal did not seem strong enough to hold a average male driver. this is the first time i have ever complained, and i have had numerous chevy trucks.

 Driver's seat left front nut plate broke, causing seat to become loose and lean to the rear.

 While driving about between 35-40 mph the frame that supports the driver's seat broke. the seat has not been repaired. the dealer has been notified about the seat. owner is not able to repair at this time. *ak
